Hello again, and welcome to another development update on the Limited Edition Tom DeLonge Padre Stratocaster. Late last week, Tom got his first look at the prototype and we were there to snap some pictures. Needless to say, he gave the thumbs up for Fender to move forward with full production. We will be receiving updates from them along the way so stay tuned for more and thanks for your patience!
Delivery Timeline Update
In the spirit of transparency, we want to let you know that our original June ship date has shifted to September. The delay comes down to a few key factors:
- Paint Colors – Achieving the perfect shades required several rounds of sampling and side-by-side comparisons with the original guitar.
- Neck Specs – The Padre’s unique neck design took additional time in R&D and testing to get right.
- Case Construction – We sourced and approved custom materials for the case, including a lining developed specifically for this project.
We know this may be disappointing news, but we’re confident the extra effort will be worth it once you see (and hear) the final result.
